If you want to rank well, you need links.  There are three ranking factors, with links being one of them. The quality links will improve your overall authority and your trustworthiness on pages. Quality links will help you have a much better ranking over time.

You should also check your backlinks often.  You should export a list of this to your google search console. From there, manually review and disavow the ones that aren’t going to help you in the long run.  Checking this also helps you get a chance to add more to the list. Not only that, you should competitor backlink analysis, which means that you pull the link data from your top competitors, and from there, analyze this in order to build sites that are good for your clients, meaning that they’ll use it, and it provides information that’ll help them in the long haul.

Finally, you want content syndication.  You want to make sure that you have high-quality content before you do this, and try to send this to publishers you’ve already written for. This is the perfect way to build the ongoing relationship with those people, and enhance your content.
