Should You Use Reciprocal links?

These are referred to as links that are exchanged or traded, and while this was a popular form of link building about a decade ago, but this has decreased a lot in recent years.

They are still relatively common since they’re a byproduct of having a website, but they do appear differently than they did about 20 years ago. This is a big part of developing relationships in some way via authentic outreach and from there, linking to sources without anything in return. However, that’s the proper way to do this, and you shouldn’t do it any other way.

There are some ways where you can build an agreement made by various brands in order to trade these links to help with their SEO. The idea behind it is to essentially say that if you link to one person, they’ll help you. It’s literally just quid pro quo, or just scratching one another’s back. However, it can be a bit shady, depending on how often you’re using this in order to build your site. Ahrefs is something that will set up helpful and naturally occurring reciprocal links. Whether the Ahrefs chooses to reciprocate with the link back is essentially entirely up to them. Using Ahrefs is an example of this not being shady, and it is a way for you to do this in a way where you won’t get penalized by google.

But, there is another side to the coin, something that you should be inevitably careful for since it can ultimately hinder you in the way you link back to others.

For example, if there is a text link exchange SEO that looks shady, I don’t’ suggest using it.

So, are these good for SEO? Now if you want to improve your rankings along with the authority of them, and of course to reduce the risk of penalties, the key here is to use less risky tactics and strategies for this.

Of course above everything else, the link building methods should improve the experience the customer has on the site. Rather than just focusing on the rankings of the SERP, and your website’s profile link, try to focus on giving something of value to the reader sand customers, creating content that’s high-quality, and helpful. Include external links on the site to create helpful SEO, but again, they’re not the driving force behind the rankings of the site, since this is something that you shouldn’t just focus on to improve the SEO.

How do you improve this though? Well, link to the quality sites that are relevant to what the content is, and will help with the overall experience. Don’t just link back to whatever you want. Understand that the content you link back to matters so much more, and you should deliver the original and valuable information to the readers in order to get a spot on the throne of the site.

When you link to content that’s higher in value, you establish the site as a source of information that’s rusted. In that case, if the other sites reciprocate the link, it’s considered a bonus, and the content, of course, matters first.

Remember that, if you’re going to ask for reciprocation of these links, look at the metrics of the site in order to make sure that you’re exchanging all of this with a site that’s high in authority.

In any case, you should make sure that your’e doing this with sites that’ll help you, and that will inevitably improve the traffic on both ends, and that it fits in the niche. Otherwise, it’s just pointless links.
